Junk Removal The Nations

Junk Removal in
The Nations

Once working-class industrial West Nashville, now the single densest "tall-skinny" infill-teardown zone in the city — block after block of post-war cottages coming down and new duplexes going up in their place. The result is a steady stream of construction and demolition debris and new-build move-in trash, and we haul all of it flat and fast, priced by volume, with metal and wood pulled for recycling.

Nashville's rebuild engine runs through 37209

No neighborhood in Nashville turns over faster than The Nations. What was a grid of small post-war cottages a decade ago is now the most concentrated infill-and-teardown zone in the city, with new narrow homes rising two-to-a-lot up and down every street off Centennial Boulevard and 51st. That pace throws off one thing constantly: debris. A cottage comes down and there's demolition material to clear. A new build goes up and there's framing scrap, drywall, ripped-out cabinets, old fixtures, offcuts and packaging. The owners move in and there's a mountain of boxes and wrap. We built the Nations page around exactly that cycle — the debris a rebuild neighborhood produces at every stage, hauled on your schedule without a dumpster parked on the street.

Because these are volume jobs, not single-couch jobs, we price them the way builders think: by how much fills the truck. Send photos of the pile or the lot and the quote comes back flat, with labor, disposal and the drive already in it.

What we haul in The Nations

  • Teardown & demolition debris — the material left when an old cottage comes down before the rebuild starts.
  • Construction debris off an active build — framing scrap, drywall, ripped-out cabinets and fixtures, trim offcuts and packaging, cleared between phases.
  • New-build move-in debris — flattened boxes, packing film, protective wrap and leftover materials once the owners arrive.
  • Cottage cleanout before a teardown — the old furniture and stored items emptied from a house that's about to come down.
  • Single heavy items — an old refrigerator, a washer-dryer or a sectional pulled from a unit being flipped.

Real Nations pricing — priced by volume

Flat rates, quoted from your photos. Debris is priced by the cubic yard or as a truck-fill, so a builder can plan the number before the load leaves.

Load / ItemPrice
Construction debris (per cubic yard)$120
Truck-fill 1/4$241
Truck-fill 3/8$338
Truck-fill 1/2$431
Truck-fill 5/8$513
Truck-fill 3/4$587
Truck-fill 7/8$661
Truck-fill full$732

Single household items still price flat too — sofa $126, refrigerator $164, washer $133. $75 minimum. Disposal included; no sales tax on the service in Tennessee.

Does Nashville pick up construction debris in The Nations?

No — and on a block this active, that reality matters. Metro Nashville has no free curbside bulk pickup, period, and construction and demolition debris was never a curbside item to begin with. The city's four convenience centers take limited household bulk (one item free, Tuesday–Saturday 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m., 311 or 615-862-5000), but C&D debris goes to a paid landfill — there's no free municipal route for it at all. So a rebuild lot in The Nations has exactly two choices: rent a dumpster and let it sit, or call a hauler. We're the hauler that comes when the debris is ready, loads it ourselves, separates metal and clean wood for recycling, and gives you one flat volume-based price. Middle-Tennessee tipping fees are low, which is part of how we keep that number fair.

What happens to the debris after pickup

We don't treat a C&D load as one undifferentiated pile bound for the hole. Recoverable metal — old appliances, ductwork, fixtures, framing hardware — gets pulled for scrap recycling, and clean wood is separated where a facility will take it. What genuinely has to be landfilled goes to a regional C&D site. It keeps volume (and cost) down, and it keeps usable material out of the ground — the honest version of the "eco-friendly" line, without overpromising.

Why builders and owners in The Nations call us

  • Volume pricing builders can plan around. By the cubic yard or the truck-fill, quoted flat from photos — no per-board itemizing.
  • Fast between phases. We clear the lot when the debris is ready so the next crew isn't working around a pile.
  • No dumpster on the street. On a tight infill lot we haul and go — no rental sitting for a week, no permit.
  • Metal and wood recycled. We pull what can be recovered instead of sending the whole load to the landfill.
  • Household items too. The same crew clears a pre-teardown cottage or a flipped unit's old appliances and furniture.

What The Nations customers say

★★★★★

"I build two-to-a-lot off 51st and I use them between phases every time. They clear framing scrap and demo debris same-day, price it by the truck so I can plan the job, and pull the metal. Way easier than watching a dumpster fill up and calling for a swap."

— Cole R., The Nations (builder)
★★★★★

"We DIY-renovated the old cottage before it got the axe and ended up with cabinets, drywall and a garage of junk. They quoted the whole pile from photos and hauled it in one load. Fair flat price, no fuss."

— Amanda & Josh T., The Nations
★★★★★

"Closed on a new duplex and the move-in debris was unreal — boxes, wrap, leftover trim. They came out fast and cleared all of it in a single trip. Great way to start in the new place."

— Nia B., The Nations
