Junk Removal Wedgewood-Houston
Junk Removal in
Wedgewood-Houston
The old industrial belt south of downtown — WeHo — reborn as Nashville's arts district: warehouses turned galleries, breweries and maker spaces, with new infill lofts filling the gaps. The signature work here is construction & demolition debris from adaptive-reuse buildouts, plus warehouse, gallery and brewery clear-outs and artist-studio turnover. We haul it by the yard or the truck-fill, flat-priced from a photo.
An arts district built inside old warehouses
Wedgewood-Houston (37210, edging into 37203) spent a century as working industrial ground, and its bones are still here — brick warehouses, loading docks, wide-open floors. What's changed is what's inside them: galleries, breweries, maker spaces, artist studios, and a run of new infill lofts. That constant re-fitting is what drives our work. Every time a warehouse floor gets carved into a taproom, a gallery, or a set of studios, the buildout throws off construction and demolition debris — framing scrap, drywall, old fixtures, pallets, torn-out shelving — and the tenant before left behind furniture and equipment that has to go too.
So WeHo pages read differently than a bungalow neighborhood. The three jobs we see most are the C&D demo haul from an adaptive-reuse buildout, the warehouse/gallery/brewery clear-out (old FF&E, bar equipment, display walls, event debris), and the artist-studio turnover keyed to the First-Saturday art crawl, when studios clear old work, packing and broken furniture before the next opening. We price all of it flat — send photos, get the exact number — with the loading, the truck, the disposal and the drive already in it, and no separate sales-tax line, because Tennessee doesn't tax the service.
What we haul out of WeHo
- Construction & demolition debris — framing lumber, drywall, torn-out flooring, old cabinets and fixtures from an adaptive-reuse buildout, priced by the cubic yard or the truck-fill.
- Warehouse & gallery clear-outs — display walls, shelving, pallets, crates and leftover FF&E from a space changing hands.
- Brewery & taproom fit-outs — old bar furniture, broken tables and chairs, packaging debris and event teardown.
- Artist-studio & maker-space turnover — old work, packing material, broken furniture and show debris around the crawl calendar.
- Loft move-in / move-out debris — the new infill buildings' packaging, leftover materials and furniture.
Real WeHo pricing

Does Metro Nashville pick up construction debris in WeHo?
No — and this is the part that trips up first-time renovators. Metro Nashville runs no free curbside bulk pickup, and its four convenience centers (the closest to WeHo being Omohundro Place at 1019 Omohundro Pl, open Tuesday–Saturday 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m., call 311 or 615-862-5000) are for household loads only — they do not take contractor construction and demolition debris. Builders and renovators have to haul C&D to a licensed facility themselves or hire it out. We're the hire-it-out done right: we bring the crew and the truck, do the loading, and haul the debris by the yard or the truck-fill in one flat-priced trip, so your buildout keeps moving.
Where WeHo debris actually goes
We sort as we load. Clean metal — shelving, racks, framing offcuts — is separated for scrap and recycling; clean wood and pallets are recycled where a facility takes them; and mixed construction and demolition debris goes to a licensed C&D facility rather than a random pile. Usable gallery and office furniture, bar tables and shelving are routed to Habitat for Humanity ReStore and Goodwill of Middle TN so a maker or nonprofit down the block can reuse it. The result is one clean load and a lot less of it in the ground.
A dumpster you don't have to rent, load, or permit
Most WeHo buildouts start with the same question: rent a dumpster, or hire it out? For a one-time gallery, taproom or studio fit-out, a flat truck-fill with us usually wins — and not just on price. There's no rental clock ticking while the box sits half-full, no street permit to pull in a tight arts-district block, no driveway or dock tied up for a week, and no self-loading of drywall and framing scrap between crews. We show up, load it ourselves, and haul it in one trip. There's a tax angle too: in Tennessee a dumpster rental is taxable, while stand-alone junk-removal service is not — so the flat number you see from us is genuinely all-in. Send photos of the debris and we'll tell you honestly which route is cheaper for your job.
Built for the arts district
- Dock and freight access. We know WeHo's warehouse loading docks and the tight streets off Houston and Martin, and stage the truck without blocking a crawl or an opening.
- Timed to your calendar. Before a First-Saturday, an opening, or a taproom relaunch — we schedule the clear-out so the debris is gone before the doors open.
- We do the loading. Framing scrap, drywall, pallets and broken FF&E carried out by the crew — no dumpster to rent, permit to pull, or box in the driveway.
- Flat price from a photo. Snap the debris pile or the space; the number is locked before we start, whether it's a yard or a full warehouse.
What WeHo customers say
"We carved a taproom out of an old warehouse and the buildout left a mountain of framing scrap, drywall and pallets. They hauled all of it by the truck-fill, recycled the metal, and it was gone before our First-Saturday opening. Flat price, no dumpster headache."
"Cleared our gallery between shows — display walls, crates, a stack of broken furniture and old packing. Photo, flat number, and they donated the good shelving to ReStore. Timed it right around the crawl."
"End of a studio buildout, needed the demo debris and leftover materials gone fast. They did the loading, one flat truck-fill, quicker and cheaper than the dumpster I almost rented."
